Running count starts at 0 on a fresh shoe. True count = running count ÷ decks remaining. Bet more only when TC is positive; this trainer grades the count, not a bet ramp.
Lesson plan
Do not skip ahead. Basic strategy first — a wrong hit costs more than a missed count.
0Strategy lock · 3–5 days — Drill until 95%+ on H17. Play a few shoes with the HUD count ignored. If you still think about 16 vs 10, you are not ready to count.
1Tags · 2–3 days — Instant +1 / 0 / −1. Pass: 50 in a row, then 100 cards in under 2 minutes with ≤1 miss. Cancel pairs in your head (5+K, 6+A, 3+10).
2Running · 1 week — Eight-card bursts, keep RC across the shoe. Pass: 8 of 10 bursts exact. Then a full shoe to the cut with RC off by at most 2.
3True count · 3–4 days — Nearest half-deck. Pass: 20 of 20 on True, then Running+TC together with TC off by at most 0.5.
4Play + count · ongoing — Play mode, hide nothing: strategy first, count second. After each hand, glance at the HUD only to check yourself. Do not press from win streaks. Press only if TC ≥ +2 and you still have the RC.
5Table sim · last — Count while talking, or with TV on. If RC dies, you are not ready. Never size up on a guess.
15–25 minutes a day beats a 2-hour binge. Count is a tiny edge on top of perfect basic strategy — maybe +0.5% to +1.5% if the count is clean. A sloppy count is just a louder way to donate.
